The only thing I can think of was legislation introduced in different states requiring minors to have parental consent to get the morning after pill (again, just standard contraceptives taken in larger doses), but I don't know if that has been successful in any areas.

Thanks again, skippy. Maybe GoodK will explain. If he hasn't shut up...

GoodK,

Please just shut up about your stupid fairy tales. No one wants to hear them.

And the last two statements prove the truth of the first statement just how?

LOL!

Since I've never voted, it's tough to say if I'm liberal or conservative. I don't even follow the news.

In the end, most people are just trying to protect what's theirs and practice CYA, conservatives might just seem more annoying because they've been able to make advances by strong appeals to morality and so on, so they have to practice a high level of hypocrisy that's tough to conceal.

As in anything, he who has the most votes wins. So... if you don't like the way the government runs things, get your friends together and vote in someone else.

If you don't vote, you can't gripe.

If your side doesn't have enough votes to win, learn to deal with it.

Whining never won an election.

And last but not least: religious people vote. Deal with it.

If your response was to me, how do I say this, I don't give a rat's ass who wins and loses the election. I simply noted conservatives play a game with different stakes. The ironic thing is that it's actually people who get their friends together and vote, and make a big deal about platforms and change who are the whiners. I mean, seriously, who tends to come across as more of a whiner, your friend who votes and plasters his car with politcal bumper stickers or the friend who is a workaholic and simply cares about the next kind of car he's going to drive? I understand that there have been times when policy has worked for important change, but I consider this to be the exception to the rule. For most people, it's plain and simple, you want things to be better for yourself and your family? Make more money. The relative amount of effect you can have on your own life and your children's life by say, becoming rich vs. banding the friends together, picketing, and successfully getting proposition 1G passed can't even be compared.

Meanwhile, the ocean gets so polluted, the whales and dolphins disappear, homes are built on waste dumps, the air turns purple above metroplitan areas, and Exxon reports record income while the price of gas goes over $5 a gallon. But the rich got theirs, so who cares about the middle class or the poor? R-i-i-i-ight.

I'm not sure what your asking me Jersey Girl. I haven't had a recent experience were I was denied birth control, nor do I have friends that were denied birth control as far as I know. But I figured it was common knowledge that some pharmacists have refused to dispense birth control.

The board took no action Wednesday after hearing about an hour's worth of comments on the topic of pharmacists who refuse to dispense contraceptives because of religious beliefs.

Washington state pharmacists who are pro-life were worried they could be forced to dispense the morning after pill or birth control drugs.

Noesen was from a K-Mart store in 2002 and claimed religious discrimination for not wanting to fill prescriptions for drugs he says can cause an abortion.

GoodK either hasn't had a chance to respond to my questions or has chosen not to. In a previous post, GoodK states that "kids can't get birth control". I am left to make some assumptions...

If the "kids" are underage minor's, they have no right to birth control and if they aren't underage minor's, then why couldn't they get it? What makes anyone think that underage minor's have a "right" to birth control or a "right" to have sex to begin with?

Underage minors have no rights. Rights are adult in nature.
