Does not Schmo have an unhealthy preoccupation with this subject? His defense of homosexuality seems to be a bit, well, defensive.

I don't know if it's unhealthy, but the subject very much does interest me, yes. I was raised by a homophobic father in a homophobic religion surrounded by multiple homophobic male role models. Quite frankly, it's taken quite some time to deprogram myself from all the bigotry to which I was exposed.

So I write about it to purge myself, because I refuse to pass on ignorant bigotry to my child like it was passed on to me.
