Bidroopy disorder.
I was thinking more along the lines of MDS, or Mormonism Derangement Syndrome.
And to further confuse the matter: Jesus was God before he came to earth. Having a body wasn't necessary, for him.
While I take Jason's testimony at face value regarding Harmony's actually being a Mormon, statements like this would otherwise indicate a connection with the actual Church so tenuous as to be nonexistent.
Knowledge of LDS doctrine: near zero.
Understanding of doctrine that is known: peripheral.
You'll have to do better than that. You'll have to explain what exactly is erroneous in her statement, from an official LDS viewpoint.
The road is beautiful, treacherous, and full of twists and turns.
So "Droopy", do you think God was once a man? Yup.
Then how come The prophet then Hinkley didn't stand up to it, when it counted?
I bet you loved those "Two-Faced" widely publicized interviews in mass media.
Well then, Droopy, it seems you agree with my vast understanding of Mormonism and reject the beliefs of MormonMason, Blake, consigeleri, TomNosser, Rommelator and others.
I hope you also reject the belief some of the aforementioned posters that it's not only morally correct to kill in the service of God, but to keep on going after God says "Stop!" in a frenzy of anti-human insanity.

I do so hate to rain on your parade, but Christ was God before he came to earth, according to the LDS church, Loran. Then he lived a perfect sinless life here. What other man is sinless? What other man was God before he came to earth?
Unless you're saying Jesus wasn't God before he came here? If that's what you believe, I suggest an immediate trip to LDS.org or your bishop, whichever is easiest to access.

I don't think in that little corner of Appalachia Loran/Coggins/Droopy has a bishop. Branch president more likely. Maybe he is the branch president.

Once again, I share my theory: I do not believe droopy has ever been really active in church. Yes, he may technically count as active, ie, going to sacrament every few weeks, but I have serious doubts it's ever been more than that. How could a really active LDS person not know that Jesus is considered to have been a god before he came to this earth?????
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.

I wonder that myself.

Gadianton wrote:Over on MAD/FAIR they are once again ashamed of their God. Instead of believing in the God of a farm boy, a farm boy who wasn't corrupted by the teachings of Greek philosophy as were the evil Catholics during the time of the Great Apostasy, they now want to believe in a traditional, scholastic God. A first step toward that demands God as a mortal to have been perfect, like Christ was. This is absurd for two reasons.
1) Even if that were true about GTF, there exists some Mormon with bad breath, bad manners, dorky hair, and that makes the cut to become exalted and then goes on to create worlds without end. On one of those worlds, some Internet Mormon will be embarrassed by his God and make the same argument our Internet Mormons make. It is then purely arbitrary and by chance that our Internet Mormons happen to be right if they are right.
2) Take the doctrine of repentence, write it on a reed, throw it on the ground, then unzip and piss on it. And that is what Internet Mormons are doing. They don't believe that repentence will blot out sins and that they may become "white as snow". What is the difference between a God who never made a mistake as a mortal, and one who had a chronic masturbation problem? But one who went with a broken heart and contrite spirit to his bishop, repented, and then had the Atonement of Jesus Christ blot out his trophy case of five-knuckle-olympic medals?
Amazing, incoherent raving. Believe it or not, years ago, Gad could actually carry out a half decent debate on ZLMB.
A new psychiatric term needs to be coined to define what happens to a personality that indulges in anti-Mormonism beyond a certain critical point.
There is not a term but you are the anthropomorphic equivalent.
And crawling on the planet's face Some insects called the human race Lost in time And lost in space...and meaning
I have no problem with concept that God was once a mortal man and that He may have committed sins He needed to repent of at the time before He became a God. It's LDS doctrine......
After We Have Endured to the End
What happens when we have endured to the end in faithful discipleship to Christ? The Lord has said, “If you keep my commandments and endure to the end you shall have eternal life, which gift is the greatest of all the gifts of God” (D&C 14:7). President Joseph Fielding Smith said, “If we will continue in God; that is, keep his commandments, worship him and live his truth; then the time will come when we shall be bathed in the fulness of truth, which shall grow brighter and brighter until the perfect day” (Doctrines of Salvation, 2:36).
The Prophet Joseph Smith taught: “When you climb up a ladder, you must begin at the bottom, and ascend step by step, until you arrive at the top; and so it is with the principles of the Gospel—you must begin with the first, and go on until you learn all the principles of exaltation. But it will be a great while after you have passed through the veil [died] before you will have learned them. It is not all to be comprehended in this world; it will be a great work to learn our salvation and exaltation even beyond the grave” (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 348).
This is the way our Heavenly Father became God. Joseph Smith taught: “It is the first principle of the Gospel to know for a certainty the character of God. … He was once a man like us; … God himself, the Father of us all, dwelt on an earth, the same as Jesus Christ himself did” (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, pp. 345–46).
Our Heavenly Father knows our trials, our weaknesses, and our sins. He has compassion and mercy on us. He wants us to succeed even as he did.
Imagine what joy each of us will have when we return to our Heavenly Father if we can say: “Father, I did what you wanted me to do. I have been faithful and have kept your commandments. I am happy to be home again.” Then we will hear him say, “Well done; … thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord” (Matthew 25:23).
