Hi Harmony,

I read that Michael dissented from the Seventh Day Adventists so I think this is his primary background but I really couldn't help wondering if he isn't familiar with the LDS church.

And the women "testifying" of their revelations, visions, and inspirations" could have been right out of a Mormon journal of any of several of Joseph Smith's polygamous wives.

It is stunning actually.

FLDS women, Michael's seven virgins, Joseph Smith's harem, the women of Jim Jones, David Koresh, numerous Eastern cult leaders... (the list just goes on and on), testifying that they know their leaders were of God and God approves of their sexual abuse and use.

It is amazing how all these guys go with the excuse, if people were more righteous they would understand and not judge them; only the truly called of God can see that the sexual abuse of girls and women is Godly. (sigh)

Men claiming God commands them to screw girls and women, girls and women after coercion and manipulating believing they must allow themselves to be sexually used, girls and women testifying that God told them to let their cult/religious leader engage in such behavior.

And various followers can't see the pattern, or they believe their particular cult/religious leader was REALLY commanded of God and all others were just lying, or they just don't realize that no matter how one twists and contorts reality, God doesn't command men to sexually abuse girls and women.

It really is shocking to see how similar all the cults/religions are when it comes to powerful men sexually using girls and women to glorify themselves.

re: House of Yahweh - polygamist sect

I'm watching Nancy Grace and the House of Yahweh leader (Hawkins) is on the program right now (loco) and is talking about the end of the world, etc.

He's supposed to have more than 30 wives, his followers are supposed to "report all sin to a supervisor" and he forbids his followers to have contact with the outside world.

My question: Is this group a break-off of the LDS church, like so many other polygamist groups? Anyone know?
