Well I'm not, so we're even!

:-)

I like Scratch, I just don't buy the double standard that when it involves the church just about anything goes.

Seriously...I almost lost my unborn child this weekend f*****g around with my mother who could potentially suffer from borderline personality disorder. She has done some heinous stuff to me in the name of her worldview and need to play the victim. I do not engage her often, and I always look for ways in which I could potentially be like her, so I can squash those things...especially now. How is dealing with her less traumatic than learning that perhaps Joseph Smith wasn't who he said he was?

Perspective, anyone?

OK, stop with the "she" bit when referring to Scratch. It's annoying.

Scratch is male.

Don't misconstrue this as an attempt at marginalizing LoaP's presence on the board (I don't have anything against the guy), but since his insistence in referring to Scratch as female is ostensibly intended to provoke or insult, couldn't a mod just relegate each of his offending posts to the Telestial? It's a win/win: LoaP can still refer to Scratch as a woman all he wants, and the rest of us won't have to be bothered by it here in the Terrestrial.

I dunno - just an idea.

I rest my case, liz (though you are correct that dickishness can well transcend all differences).

All scratch has to do is let me know.

I assure you it is not intended to provoke or insult. Typically I don't even think of putting "she, her, etc." I quite genuinely believe, thus picture, scratch as a female. Scratch has never corrected this view.

No? I thought he had some time back, but I suppose I could be mistaken....

Time for an unscheduled leave of absense. Maybe something that has some substance to it will pop up while I'm gone.

Spring is in the air; 'tis a wonderful time to take a leave of absence (regardless if motivated by daftness).

Enjoy.
