It's not that "it came to pass" was used in Mayan. "It came to pass" is English. What was used in Mayan was something that had a similar meaning, ie: "it happened". As Beastie says, probably every written language out there has some word or phrase that means "it happened". How do you justify "it came to pass" as being a better translation of a given Mayan glyph, or glyphs, than "it happened"?

Well, one thing is certain, there were plenty of French traders and businessmen operating in the area of the Great Lakes. Quebec is not the only option. Who knows? Luman Walter, quite possibly of French Acadian ancestry, may have been the original author of the Book of Mormon, and not Solomon Spaulding! He did attend school in France, after all.

I totally abandoned this little thread I started. I agree that this is major league shaky evidence for the Book of Mormon.

its a geocities link. You know, the same place Prince Umbakia of the Nigerian Royal Family hosts his website. Mr Umbakia is a wonderful man I have met by chance. He is a very rich man and because I am assisting in getting funding for a bank transfer I will be able to retire a rich man.
