And there has never been a time when there were no Christians, since Christ's crucifixtion.
How so? 'Christian' is a term for a believer in Christ. The Old Testament Hebrews were christians simply by definition.
Using that definition, anyone who believes in Joseph Smith would be Mormon. But it's not that simple, as Mormons know.
I think by definition, anyone who believes in Mormon would be Mormon. LOL. Sorry I saw it and had to take it. I am a happy chappie today.

If you try arguing Mormons are Christians at CARMs, they don't give you a chance, they suffocate you.

In what way? Droopy merely stated LDS doctrine regarding the questions you asked.
I find this thread funny and a joke.
Why?
I aimed this thread specificaly at Coggins and am shocked at his reply.
Why?
So what more can I say?
You can say what your intent was in posting this thread.
Of course I knew/know the churches teachings regarding these areas, but it is really good how such a simple thread can prove just how much of a hypocrit Mormons can be.
How do you figure? Everything Droopy said was 100% in line with what Mormonism teaches.
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"

It's cool, I learned some things in this thread, so it's all good.

Logically fallacious. One may believe in Joseph Smith quite without committing, for whatever reasons, to membership in the Church, just as one may follow Christ but be a "non-denominational" Christian. Further, "Christianity" is a generic term designating a wide variety of specific of religious organizations and systems of belief. "Mormonism" is a specific religious system claiming sole authenticity as the true church of Jesus Christ. To be a "Mormon", one must join the Mormon Church, not just accept a hodge podge of its doctrines or principles. To be a Christian, one must merely accept and try to live the teachings of Christ. Church membership is peripheral to one's legitimate claim to Christian discipleship.
Nothing is going to startle us more when we pass through the veil to the other side than to realize how well we know our Father [in Heaven] and how familiar his face is to us

I am so old that I can remember when most of the people promoting race hate were white.
Not according to the Christians themselves, anymore than Mormons think anyone who is FLDS or any other splinter group of Mormonism is Mormon.
Mormons absolutely cannot have this one both ways.
Yes they can, as long as you don't conflate the general and the particular, as you are wont to do.
