Let's take a serious vote between MADd and this one.

Speaking frankly, I'm tired of both boards--while there are posters at both places I enjoy reading, there are way too many I don't. And I can't seem to have a discussion on either one that keeps my interests or seems useful.

I think this place is too dominated with the bitter ex-LDS and no-mo's and the extremist, angry LDS have overun MADB. While there never was much good conversation here (for my taste--It's great for the non-LDS here), there used to be discussions of interest on the other board.

I think the mods at MADB have overmoderated--critics have to be so careful and posters, non or LDS, have to be very careful not to get on the bad side of the board regulars--if you take an unpopular position, you are ganged up on. There is very little serious discussion there. Most posters there just parrot their own opinions and they don't bother researching their subjects. They are lazy and want others to spoon feed them information. That is something that I've noticed becoming the norm there the last year.

I know Mormons do not believe in roulette wheels or ouija boards, so the question does arise as to how the MAD mods make their decisions. Is there a root cause to their capriciousness? Does it stem from the tides, a full moon, herbal tea leaf configurations, chicken entrails, morning sickness or what? A case of righteous indignation run amok?

I agree with both observations. I don't have to worry about posting on MAD however, due to being exiled. I wish some more Mormons would come here to balance the place out a bit.

That is your view because you can only be subjective when discussing Mormon historical events.

You have a very distinct NEED to believe. We so called antiMormons do not, and therefore can be completely objective when discussing anything related to Mormonism.

The same goes for the defenders over at the MA&D house. They also have a very distinct NEED to believe.
