Just one more of Joseph's fruits.
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.

This is what fascinates me about human belief, reasoning, denial, etc., and the working of our "kluge" brains.

After photos were introduced in Texas court this week of Warren Jeffs kissing a 12-year-old girl who is reported to be his wife, FLDS are now claiming there is no evidence he ever had sex with any of them.

You have young girls from the YfZ ranch pregnant and with babies from older men (their spiritual husbands) who raped them demonstrating that sex with young girls is indeed part of the practice of the FLDS community, you have sworn testimony from former FLDS followers of Jeffs who state Jeff's doctrine, practices and teachings that older men must "spiritually marry" and have sex with multiple young girls, you have pictures of Jeff's "deep kissing" little girls who are their "spiritual wives" and the apologists still can't admit to the problem. They just can' t go there.

To accept the reality of what is going on in Texas at the YfZ seems impossible for their brains to accept, just like they can't accept the fact that Joseph Smith "spiritually married" and had sex with young girls and the wives of other men.

It is as if the brain simple cannot accept the truth when the truth would shatter one's belief. Any and every means to justify or deny what is true regardless of how it fits with reality will be used to keep the brain from having to face what is real and obvious.

I'm not saying that for these folks to accept what is going on would shatter their belief in the LDS church because I think the brain can pretty much hold to its belief regardless of anything for some True Believers, however it seems that to admit the sexual perversion, child molestation, and rape of Jeff's and his followers is to come face to face with the reality that they are followers of Joseph Smith, AND that Joseph Smith acted in similar ways, "spiritually marrying" young girls, manipulating them with promises of eternal life.

It is just all too close to home.

There are a lot of things in evidence that will get you arrested if you have it in your home. Police do stupid things and to release that photo was one - our local highway patrol is in trouble and being sued for millions of dollars because an officer/employee uploaded a picture of a fatal accident with a copy of a kids drivers license next to the photo.

The photo, along with others, was published in several national and local newspapers earlier this week, including the Salt Lake Tribune.

I think it was Justice Potter Stewart who said he could not define obscenity but he knows it when he sees it; another definition is that it shocks the conscience and I think that photo hits both nails on the head.

I first say the photo on a news broadcast from KSL TV.
