And, certainly it couldn't just be that talking it over in your mind helps you to remember where they are, right? It HAS to be God intervening??

I have no idea. Don't care really. If I get the keys I'm happy either way and I'll throw him a quick thanks. If he didn't intervene he gave me the mental capacity to figure it out so he deserves it either way. I guess he could lose if he was the one who hid the keys but I don't think he's that petty.

I think when people pray to god to find something they have lost, it is really just a way of calming themselves so they can think clearly. A few months ago I was frantically searching my apartment for my birth certificate so I could get a passport for my planned trip to Europe. I looked and looked and looked, but couldn't find it. I got frustrated to the extent that no matter how hard I looked, I probably wouldn't see it if it was in plain sight. I didn't pray...I don't believe in god. But I did some relaxation exercises and decided not to search anymore until the next day. I found my birth certificate in the first place I looked the next morning.

I think these kinds of things happen all the time, and since people are trained to think that God loves them and wants them to be happy, they give thanks to God when it had nothing to do with God.

These kinds of threads always crack me up. Some silly, mocking assertion is made about Mormons, and the anti-Mormons all get together for a circle jerk. How wonderfully mature and productive (like this post)! ROFLMAO

I'm glad you stopped by to join the circle, then, with your apparent maturity and productivity.

And the pro-Mormon's can't resist embedding immature and unproductive masturbation remarks in their responses to it.

Oh, the irony!

I have my moments! :D

In case you missed it, I explicitly poked fun at my own post. I've highlighted it in red for you.

I'm not the one that says finding car keys doesn't interfere with free agency and that this is acceptable to God whereas helping people in burning buildings or collapsed mines is not on God's agenda.

I was mocking this God that apparently is only capable of intervening to find lost car keys. He is deserving of my mockery -- no religion involved.

Helping to find car keys interferes with Agency? I think you're thinking of something more like the Prime Directive which God never adhered to.
