The milk before meat concept has been used as an excuse withhold or white wash many of the unsavory aspects of church history and the real character of Joseph Smith. Neither of which are deep doctrine at all, but are just historical facts.
To ask potential converts to pay 10 percent and donate countless hours without disclosing the true character of Joseph Smith and the real history of the church he founded is dishonest and hypocritical.

I'm not sure this falls under hypocrisy unless you're using a radically different meaning of the word. I have not seen any LDS push for all Catholics to be taught about the pedophile popes or all Lutherans instructed about Luther's anti-Semitism. How is this hypocrisy?
I don't see the dishonesty either. As far as I and most other LDS are concerned we are teaching about the true character of Joseph Smith. You can accuse us of being wrong but dishonest is a stretch.

The meat of the Gospel is as easily if not more easily learned by simply spending time in the Scriptures (the source of much of it) and time in your knees listening to God (the source of the rest).
I do however think it is funny how the fringe views the meat of the Gospel. To me it is the understanding of the nature of God, the secrets to applying the Atonement, the methods of opening oneself to revelation, and the knowledge needed to develop virtue. Somehow to these people the meat of the Gospel is making sure you have a tent. I don't deny that someone might receive such an instruction but the idea that preparing to live in tents is the meat of the kingdom sounds as outlandish as the Word of Wisdom nuts and those convinced the devil is behind UFO sightings.
This is illogical. The phrase "milk before meat" would make zero sense under your formula.
Using milk and meat connotes how easily digested something is, not how nutritious or important it is. So the milk has to come before the meat because an infant (new or weak convert) is able to digest (ie, accept without a struggle) the "milk" (easily accepted ideas, normally easily accepted because they larger host culture accepts them as well), whereas the infant would regurgitate the more difficult to digest "meat" (weird parts of Mormonism).
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.

Runtu, “Milk before Meat” really doesn't exist, except in the minds of Mormons.
Mormonism is a don't ask don't tell Cult. If you are asking for meat and are told you need milk, you're already in trouble. All of it is a perception, not a reality. If you question Mormonism, you are instantly placed in a category where you need milk. If you are thinking Mormonism is a sham, then in their minds, you are either under the influence of Satan or reading too many anti-Mormon lies. Remember, “Milk before Meat” is simply broken down into those who appear to have Meat are more Holy. Those who are have yet to be convinced of the truthfulness of the LDS Cult are in need of Milk. Those who question need Milk. In all reality, there is not one person who has Meat in Mormonism - only those who have the appearance of Meat.
Meat, is power. It always has been.
Don't ask. Don't tell. Bear your testimony even if you don't have one. Swallow your guilt, your anger, your hurt, your questions - and you will be perceived to have all the meat in the world.
