Now here is a thing unheard of. Two antiMormons debating what is and is not LDS doctrine.

It completely astounds me how those who claims to have anything to do with Jesus Christ can be so extraordinary cruel and completely disgusting.

These people who claim to have some sort of access to truth, to holiness, to goodness, who claim to have the power of God, who claim to have inspiration, and the gift of the HG, can show the most despicable cruel behavior imaginable.

You are a poor representative of your church and an horrific example of a human being.

Here comes the morality brigade. If an anti like Merc or Porter or Infy uses tasteless images it's laughed off/ignored. If an active believer does, it's seen as proof that the Church is a fraud and that the poster is a malevolent and evil human being.

I can't understand why those who think the truth claims of the Church are a fraud are SHOCKED at the vile behavior of those following an imaginary God....as if belief in an imaginary God should make people better.....this could be something to psychoanalyze.

What shocks me is that these folks claim to have some sort of truth, the power of God, inspiration, and the gift of the HG.

I think most people believe that those who at least try to be decent human beings have some minimal understanding of what is cruel and disgusting behavior.

Those who claim to actually have God's power, and inspiration from on high, and have covenanted with God to be followers of Christ, seem to be filled with cruelty that is truly beyond description.

Yeah, it is shocking.

Also, just a little FYI, there are a few posters for whom I use my self created "ignore feature" so I may miss some crude posts, however, when I do come across something I find particularly cruel, I typically do respond regardless of who the poster is.

The photograph is beautiful, heavenly even, in my opinion.

BC's mokery of others is cruel beyond description.

But perhaps you don't understand...

It's not like I have never aimed criticisms in the other direction, Nehor. Get over yourself.

Are you really this clueless?

No, nonbelievers don't imagine that the fraudulent LDS church would have any significant impact on the "heart" of believers, although it has impact on certain behaviors, like the WoW.

It is believers who imagine that the LDS church would have a significant impact on peoples' "hearts". So threads like this are designed to help believers purchase a tiny clue. But since apparently you don't have the currency to purchase even a tiny clue, I'll buy it for you and spell it out:

The fact that the LDS church has no significant impact on the hearts of its believers, as manifest by the fact LDS believers - including prophets - demonstrate the same predictable behaviors and attitudes as others members of the larger culture - is just one more piece of evidence that the LDS church is a man-made institution like every other church on the face of the earth.

Hope that helps.
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.

Nehor, kiss my ass.

You should know me well enough by now to know that I would have said something to Infymus, Merc, and PP as well.

Indeed, I have!

BC and I have a long history of back and forth posting and understand each other pretty well. We also have a healthy respect for our posting styles and personalities, even when we disagree. This action of his went against the grain of the type of classy posting I used to seeing from him.

It has nothing to do with a so-called morality brigade.

Go play with your kiddie cars and leave the serious discussion to the adults.

I hope it wasn't expensive.

I guess I have a different view of what is and is not a serious discussion. If you think attacking the religion, character, and morality of a person with 'withheld respect' for posting a lampooning picture on the intratubes is a serious discussion, I think we have a different view of the concept of serious.
