Well, I suppose it'd have a better chance at being useful than electro-shock therapy where you hook up the tongues of deviant mayo-lovers to some electrodes and then shock them every time they see mayo-porn. We could also show them butter or sour-cream porn too but without shocking them. We tried some experiments a decade or two ago, but the success rate was negligable and besides, the pro-mayonnaise movement has become too powerful and therefore society has decided that it's cruel and barbaric. Personally I think that mayo is far more cruel and barbaric, but I don't control the world--yet.

Whether or not homosexuality is genetic is irrelevant to the LDS position because of Ether 12:27 and 1 Nephi 3:7.
