It if GREED, not naievity that gets these sheep sheared. Their belief that Gods blessings are counted in dollars, a big McMansion higher on the hillside and a visible church calling.

The Gospel according to Paul Dunn is alive and well.

As for writing a letter of support for a ward member or a friend, go for it. The 'chrislike' behavior crap shows more about the inspiration of the leader than anything he can ever do.

$180MILLION and this is a 'nice guy' with 'christlike' behavior?

Does his conviction mean he will lose his Temple Recommend?

I don't have any problem with this man. Don't just look at the half-empty glass, this man sold 180 Million dollars worth of hope to people that just needed something to believe in. So what if he couldn't make good on his end of the deal? Do we really expect these same purchasers of intangibles will be brought back to life and given immortality for 10 percent of their income? What the apologists have assured us, is even if the church isn't true, and even if there is no God, they can still have a better life than those who face the truth. The same goes for this modern-day bringer of hope. Those who invested had something special, they had something to believe in. You can't put a pricetag on that.

If I were in his ward, I would write that letter of support.

I'm with Paul who said that if the Gospel is false we are of all men "most miserable." Being made happy by a false hope would suck. Luckily it's not false. HOORAY!!!!

But if the gospel is false, then Paul might have just been making that up--he had no real way to know that a false gospel would make men "most miserable". It is possible that living a delusion might very well make one happy.

But if he wasn't making it up then he would know. As I know he was not, I'm confident he did.

If Paul was living a delusion with all the prison time and lashings he suffered I'm guess he could qualify for "most miserable".
