Congratulations to ROLLO TOMASI for achieving Godhood!

Yesterday, Tuesday June 17, 2008 at exactly 5:02 p.m. Mountain Standard Time, our very own ROLLO TOMASI was crowned with his mantle of exaltation, having worked out his salvation (after all that he could do) and achieved Godhood! Woo-hoo!

Longtime nemesis of the MA&D board, Rollo is quite the noteworthy poster. As such, if anyone has anything nice they'd like to say about him, now is the time and this is the thread to do so.

As for Mr. Tomasi himself, let's hear a speech!

(For those counting, that's 49 gods & goddesses so far.)

I remain a great fan of Rollo Tomasi, and regard him as one of the greatest posters ever. The threads he participated in on FAIR are terrific reading to this day. They are case studies on how to kick major league apologist butt.

Thanks to you all for the kind words. Made me a bit misty. I've been hanging around Mormon-related bb's for 10 years now. I think I discovered RfM first, then ZLMB (with the old View From the Foyer bb around the same time). I sparred for a couple of years on ZLMB with Dan Peterson (he left that bb at least one time because of me ... but he always came back) and the likes of Pahoran, et al. Then ZLMB tried to limit the participation of posters like me (at one point limiting my posts to no more than 5 a day), and I and others migrated over to FAIR, where I continued to battle DCP and the likes of Pahoran. I was part of the major purge at FAIR (around April 2006 for me), and was completely banned from even viewing the bb that same summer (due to my participation here). So, since 2006, I've hung out mostly here. I like it here -- complete freedom to say what you want (which doesn't exist at MADB or RfM). Dr. Shades has the only free-speech Mormon bb around, in my opinion. I've always tried to be respectful of others' opinions (but I'm not perfect, and have lashed out on occasion, but generally try not to) and focus on the subject of the discussion (rather than the poster, which seems so common these days). Thanks for allowing me to be here and listening to my ramblings. This really is my only outlet to open up and discuss questions and doubts in my mind about Mormonism (certainly can't do it at Church, or among TBM's). And as as my first act as A God (not THE God), I say to all: eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow ... you'll be with ME and we will continue to eat, drink and be merry!!!

There he is! I moved from RfM to FAIR a few years ago after being teased with links to great posts by the likes of "Rollo Tomasi" (and also "Mighty Curelom"). Somehow Susan at RfM didn't delete those links very quickly, and so I looked and eventually moved completely to a more energized board... as it was back in those days. Now FAIR/MADB sucks, of course.
