Dear Everyone:
To all those who have complimented me or otherwised praised my notes--even those of you at MA&D--I offer my sincerest gratitude and a hearty "thank you!" Y'all's kind words have made my day many times over. (I'm not worthy!)
To all those who have thanked me for them, I rejoin with a hearty "you're welcome!"

Yeah, mind-boggling, isn't it? I don't recall disparaging either Dr. Gee or anything he said anywhere in my write-up. I think I only reported what he said without any commentary of my own other than to note where my memory might be faulty.
If there's nothing "anti" in my notes themselves--as the folks at MA&D themselves seem to admit--then the only conclusion we can reach is that the mere
venue where my notes appeared is what is causing them to give them the "thumbs-down." Either that, or the fact that yours truly was the one who put pen to paper as opposed to anyone else.

And a very special "thank you" for that!

I think this is a naked example of personalities trumping information. Their priorities are hereby laid bare.
I got a chuckle out of the fact that MAD was so proud to announce their set of notes from this important presentation, and then after reading what Dr. Shades came up with, their notes basically have nothing.
I, too, find this nigh unto unfathomable. Both the FAIR blog and the brief at MormonTimes.com only touch on general themes and not on anything in specific.
It's the specifics that I thought would be valuable to rank-and-file Mormons.
This is made all the more curious by the fact that I didn't see any familiar faces there at all. I know a few people from MA&D, but I didn't see any of them. This event was very well-attended, too. Chairs filled up the entire space and people filled up all the chairs, so it's not like no one took notice.
Most venues such as FAIR conferences and the pages of
FARMS Review appear to be geared to a large degree to those already in-the-know. This was a unique opportunity to hear the premiere Book of Abraham apologist speak on this topic to the rank-and-file,
completely free of charge and open to the public. Why it didn't earn more online coverage by and for believing Mormons is surprising to me.
But then again, maybe that's merely symptomatic of the >50% that "just don't care."
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"
