Gazelam, do you agree with Elder Monson then? What you are saying seems to contradict his directive, in that those of other faiths should be accepted on an 'equal' footing. To me, that doesn't translate to your interpretation which goes back to one of superiority rather than equality?

Well, here's what he says:

Thus, Latter-day Saints accept all sincere believers as equals in the pursuit of faith and in the great work of serving humanity.

To me, that means that a Jehovah Witness, or a Catholic or an Anglican who is sincerely pursuing his faith and serving humanity is to be accepted as equal.

Someone with a calm and steady temperment?
Someone with leadership abilities?
Someone with gifts and talents in music/acting/engineering/maths...etc.etc
Someone with intellectual gifts?
Someone with a kind, empathetic and caring nature?


In that sense a divine creator gives to ALL of us, no matter what background or religion...

Or are you narrowing it down to membership in a particular exclusive truth claim religion?
