Unless of course they are dead, in which case they are fodder for being thrown under the train tracks if need be..

was he not part of the utah Mormons?

has A LOT when a quote is made by someone claiming to be a prophet. He along with the others that went to Utah were apostates. They changed the teachings of the church and went a different path, added ceremonies, believed in blood atonement, Adam God, etc... Thus he was not a prophet his representation of the Book of Mormon makes no difference. :)
