I already told you. I did leave. I eventually came back. Now prove you're free. Rejoin.

This is the childlike thinking that I'm talking about. You equate both of our situations as being similar enough to say what you just said.

Sure I could voluntarily rejoin your church, but you're asking me to cede my freedom to a totalitarian authority whereas I'm asking you to free yourself from that. You ask me to become a slave in order to prove that I'm free which makes no sense whatsoever, but I'm asking you to prove you're free by walking away from a controlling entity. The nuance that you're clearly missing isn't the physical ability to locate yourself inside a chapel, but the mental ability to allow yourself to walk away. I don't think you have the ability to do that BECAUSE they own you via your fear of the repurcussions they have set for you, whether it's temporal or "eternal" in nature. They control you through the paradigm they created, and in which you find yourself.

Alas, being fat is not the worst thing I could be. It would be much worse to be wrong about Mormonism. And besides, at least I'm not as grossly obese as is Professor Peterson -- he of the insatiable Krispy Kreme hankering.

Yeah, I think you're right, I think the avatar was slightly different, but the same time period.

We all know that the Mormon god cares a lot about the state of your lungs, but apparently not so much about the state of your arteries. And yes, we do see that reflected in Mormon culture.

What would really be awful would be to be a fat believer who's wrong about Mormonism. You'd possibly cut several years off your life span, without the recompense of the seventy virgins....or something like that. Horrible. Just think - no adoring future humanoids telling you how great you are, 24/7...nothing but a shorter life span and increasing health problems. Bummer.

Ooo, I just thought of one even worse. How about being a fat Mormon believer who's wrong about the angry EV God?? So not only do you cut several years off your life span, never get to be a god with luscious wives, never get the adoring fan base, but you ALSO have to burn in hell for eternity!!!

I don't connect enslavement with my ward. Could you elaborate on that a little more?

Slaves don't have the option to skip meetings, turn down callings, go to bed naked, or refusing to write the tithing check. LDS do.

Me, I only have eyes for Haagen Dazs.

Here you go: http://chs.ironk12.org/Sports/baseball/pictures.htm

You're the fatass coach there. See? You're like the skanky fat lice-infested slob who lives in a desert city licking ice cream from his own hairy man chest, while watching your ponies prance around in their dirt patch through your broken trailer window. Then your unattractive, overweight, harpie let's you know it's time for you put on your Walmart vest and get to work as a greeter.

You're fat.

How do you know Will is the coach? I can't see it listed on the site.

I'm not particularly interested in how fat he may or may not be, but he's definitely led readers to believe he is not a baseball coach for Cedar High, so I'm interested in knowing whether or not he lied.

I just finished reading this thread (felt I had to read it before commenting) however, have found that it has degenerated into a discussion of whether Will is "fat and forty and a baseball coach" and accusations that LDS are slaves. Since I have no comment on those topics, I guess I needn't bother.

He's not. I had seen a .pdf file that listed William Schryver as a baseball coach for 2007-2008. I have no idea what that was for. Anyway, I went to the Cedar City high school page, and saw a fat white guy coaching. Before I saw a pic of fat Bill's fat face, I assumed the baseball coach was fat Bill because Bill is fat, angry, and white. And fat.

Anyway, the only reason why I'm being outrageously rude/crass is to help show fat Bill what it's like to be the object of poor behavior. It's no fun, and it detracts from a thread when the topic is brushed aside in order to make endless personal insults.

Bill is fat. And had a mullet. And he's poor.
