Then I tell them to read the First Presidency Message for June about not picking and choosing doctrines we will or won't accept, but accepting all that comes from the prophet. More groans.
Somehow, members are able to ignore the reality of what IS OUR DOCTRINE while we are not required to practice it. If the doctrine was to be practiced, many think it would be a hell on earth. Possibly like Mitt Romney, who said he could not imagine anything more horrible (or something to that effect).
Shouldn't we long for the right to practice such a high and righteous form of marriage? Why the whining?
The reason why is watered down teachings and doctrines. Not necessarily from the Church itself, but from members who are too weak or to left-wing to actually teach the doctrines to others.
I feel sorry for the wives of men who long for the day. The perverted and degrading teaching of polygyny taught by the LDS has church has done a disservice to marriages and families.

Seriously, no, I do not desire it, but that is to be expected in my current state, right LOAP? Just as Crock, who keeps trying to get me to resign (because it is "courageous"), clearly I am not among those who seek after righteousness and the highest rewards of heaven.

Really?
Be the arrogant self righteous prick that you pretend to be on these boards and stand up in GD or EQ and call all of the wimps on their lack of what you the most righteous seem to possess.
This brings me joy, seeing people like you being forced to get in line with the rest of the sheep. in my opinion, you are a bigger pussy than they are for getting in line. Then again, you are in a cult and do have a Mormon mommie and daddie, and TBM wife and inlaws.

Actually, Boaz has a point here, BC.
If you feel that strongly about it, why not go to your bishop or stake president and make your thoughts known? Insist that the "true" doctrine is taught, and call out those who have a hard time accepting, like you do here.

Really. I see cases of this first hand all the time.

Do you find it hard to kick against? lol

Are you one of those cowards without the guts to challenge me in class? Do you sink low in your seat knowing that you have no evidence or scriptures to gainsay LDS doctrine? Do you sweat whenever I look your way when searching for someone to give a prayer?

Maybe even write a letter to the Brethren?
No need. I am already involved in correcting these problems and yes, I do call people out and challenge them.

Well, at least you're consistent. I'll give you that. ;)
