I grew up in a wonderful ward and stake. If I could suspend all skepticism and go back to believing, I think I would.
Hi Good K. Your list of "issues" is something I would expect to hear from someone that hasn't been around the block too many times and has a testosterone level that's a bit out of kilter. IMS possibly? (go here for starters: http://www.gotapex.com/the-softer-side- ... t-pms.html) The comment that I am referencing above causes me to think that you are in your early twenties or thereabouts? If so, how in the world can you have the bull by the horns and have everything in regards to "truth" all figured out already?
Amazing.
To make mind altering and earth shattering judgements/decisions concerning God and truth at a young age is risky behavior, in my opinion. Hormones and chemical complexities within the body can affect one's rational senses. It is also more likely that one will lash out at others and make hasty and faulty pronouncements and decisions along the way. Without making an absolute/binding judgement in your case, it sounds like this may have occurred, at least in part, in what some have referred to as the mocking of your father. IMS can play a part in some situations that we'd just as well go back and redo if we could.

Anyway, something to consider.
Additionally I find it amazing that DP would drop in here and subject himself to a public mauling. Was he actually hoping to convince anyone HERE that he was in the right? I doubt it. I do think that he may have felt it necessary to stand up, however, to protect/defend his good name. At least from his POV.
Can't fault a man for that!
