So how much is it now? When is the church going to recuperate the costs of the mall? What is the current overrun is the question in the poll.

As some know this is a complicated issue involving banks, currently held assets and your corporate credit rating. How much stock will be liquidated to pay back the loans?

I think the most important question that needs to be answered in this thread is how exactly did the church amass these funds. This matter and other issues of transparency are likely to come up.

It's actually a secret plot. We're building a city under SLC and using the cost of the mall and the construction to cover up what we're doing. Then when the button is pushed and everyone else is turned into radioactive zombies we'll have a compound to flee to that can be used to hold off the undead hordes until the Second Coming.

I dunno. I can't see this being a smart investment for anyone. SLC already has a premium mall in the Gateway, so the downtown mall will have to get some major anchor stores. But the problem still exists that killed the old malls: people aren't going to drive all the way into the city to go to a mall. They have malls in the suburbs, nice ones.

Either way, it's the church's money, and they can spend it as they like. A downtown mall strikes me as an odd choice, but then I'm a writer, not a real estate investor.
