Campaign to Reinstate Jersey as a Mod

If it was only that easy. The problem we may be forgetting is that Shades stated that the posters who complained said they would leave the board if Jersey Girl was not removed. Unless they have changed their minds, I assume they will make good on their threats if Jersey Girl is reinstated. And from Shades' decision to give in to their demands, he or the other board owner(s) must see these posters as too valuable to take a chance in calling their bluff.

And yes, it's Shades' board and he can do as he pleases...so I guess if these anonymous posters(COWARDLY as well since they won't fess up--so cowardly they wouldn't even do it by using the option Shades offered them to post anonymously through him on this thread) who threatened to leave if Shades didn't remove her are that important to him, then I guess Jersey Girl is sacrificed.

I'm pretty sure I voiced my own concerns--on a public thread started by Mercury about Jersey Girl as a moderator, back when she was put in--because I knew her to be a passionate poster; but as far as I can see and even Shades has confirmed, she's done a great job as a moderator and it does seem unfair that Shades would allow the initial impression to be given that she was relieved because posters complained about her moderating, when in fact what actually happened was that a couple of posters with clout who don't like her, demanded she be removed or they would leave. in my opinion, she's got a right to be p.o.ed by the way this was handled.

I can well understand your frustration however, I haven't had the time to complete my own replies/rebuttals/statements of fact and all of that sort of thing. I will get back to holding up my own end of the discussion as soon as time permits since there were additional points I planned to make here.

Edit: I apparently have started page 10 with the above post as I viewed it after posting. I also noticed there are 6,000+ views for this thread. Someone must be interested in the topic. I've just been very busy. I will do my best not to disappoint.

With all due respect, I didn't create this thread, you did. I have posted on this thread because it names me in the OP and concerns a situation in which I was involved. If you describe that as "you would not shut up" then I would refer you to the numerous posters who have also chosen to participate and created 10 pages of dialogue here. I have not completed my replies and while you may be done, I am not so please don't presume to speak for me as when you say "We are done here".

It is naïve at best for one to open a thread and not expect people to post on it especially the one who is named in the OP. I'm sure you haven't checked the poll results lately but if you did, you would see that people are still voting. I don't know where all of these people are coming from but I, for one, appreciate the vote of confidence in me and if shutting me up is what you had in mind here, I wish you all the luck in the world with that.

Okay, I've finally landed in one place and back onto this little hobby horse. See the part that I bolded, Alter? That's how I saw it from the beginning. Now think about it.

Poster with "clout" who didn't want me to "touch their posts" (Shades words, not mine) because why?

Is it because they thought I (or other mods for that matter) had some extraordinary power? To do what?

Delete the deletes, move thread to the Telestial and split threads? (I don't recall ever splitting a thread)?

To do the job that Shades gives his moderators? Isn't that what folks expect the mods to do?

I signed every mod action that I took. Anything that I did could easily be undone if it were deemed a bad call.

But Shades has already noted that I didn't act in error.

I am left to assume that some people didn't approve the comments of Jersey Girl the poster (Shades indicated this in one of his posts on this thread) so they badgered Shades into removing me as moderator in order to...

If you think I'm defending my integrity or something, you would be decidedly wrong in that regard. My integrity was and remains intact and while I appreciate those who commented and also voted here, I don't need their votes of confidence to affirm that that is so.

Again, I'd like to know just why you think I'm choosing to complete my responses here for I'm more than certain given your comments above that you have no earthly idea what is on my mind or what my intentions are. Please don't try to second guess me. I've found that in the past, those who attempt to do so are typically wrong.
