If you think I'm defending my integrity or something, you would be decidedly wrong in that regard. My integrity was and remains intact and while I appreciate those who commented and also voted here, I don't need their votes of confidence to affirm that that is so.

Again, I'd like to know just why you think I'm choosing to complete my responses here for I'm more than certain given your comments above that you have no earthly idea what is on my mind or what my intentions are. Please don't try to second guess me. I've found that in the past, those who attempt to do so are typically wrong.

I'm almost done by the way so not to worry. I wouldn't want to take time away from those who are overly invested in bickering about DCP ad nauseum in multiple other threads that are active at the current time.

True dat. I don't have a clue.

I'm just a guy reading a message board, who happens not to care whether or not Jersey Girl is a mod here. I like your posts regardless.

Obviously, I'm not as invested in the situation as are you, but, I'm just saying, I will continue to read your posts and I will continue to deem them important.

Color me disinterested.

Who on earth here cares that you are no longer a mod?

Who on earth actually wants to be a mod here?

At some point, one has to admit that System-X works in a certain way. And, one has to just deal with it.

I voted for you, Jersey Girl.

I'm not disgruntled.

I just don't see the point at this point.

You likely don't see the point because you haven't read the whole story. What you've seen on this thread are snippets of what took place and sanitized snippets at that.

It's over. No right-thinking board participant thinks any less of you.

But, you're dying needlessly here like Magellan in his last futile stand against the pagans. Go on and finish the voyage--something he was unable to do, secondary to death.

Jersey Girl won't be made a moderator again, so yes, "it's over". But we inadvertently learned something about the MormonDiscussions board--it's more like MADB than most here might want to admit. Many times I've seen posters here accuse the MADB board of banning posters on the whims of Dr. Peterson or Juliann. Well, it seems that MD has it's own versions of "Dr. Peterson" and "Juliann"--and in this case, it's not just speculation. Shades ADMITTED he gave in to the demands of a couple of posters who threatened to leave. And another irony--unlike on MADB--where we know who the "privileged" posters are, these MD posters who "call the shots" are anonymous. Posters who have enough clout that Shades was willing to sacrifice a capable moderator to satisfy their whims.

Shades explained his reasons for his actions, and as the board owner, he can do as he pleases. But if the explanation he gave is true, then he's lost some of the high ground he inhabited by allowing a couple of unnamed posters to force a moderator out because she wasn't "liked".

And yes, it's Shades' board and he can do as he pleases...so I guess if these anonymous posters(COWARDLY as well since they won't fess up--so cowardly they wouldn't even do it by using the option Shades offered them to post anonymously through him on this thread) who threatened to leave if Shades didn't remove her are that important to him, then I guess Jersey Girl is sacrificed.

Yeah, if you recall, that was actually my own argument earlier in this thread.

At this point, I'm not convinced it holds enough water to sink any ships.

Although Shades has not revealed to me the names of who PM'd him, I would bet money on one of the PM'ers NOT being Bob.

If Bob didn't complain about me, I doubt he would complain about Jersey Girl. LOL

I agree. I seriously doubt Bob complaining would have any effect on Shades. Unless he's contributing money to help pay for the board, which is not very likely.

Ouch! That's very cynical, A.I.. You mean like $200 here, $200 there?

Mine wasn't.

I don't mean to be cynical--just practical. We know how it is on MADB--Juliann was a part owner of the board (at least when it was FAIR and she probably still is)...if she complained, the mods listened. Someone who contributes money to help run the board would have more influence with Shades than other posters--it is certainly one possible explanation. Another explanation is that the complainers are such valuable contributors (similar to Dr. Peterson who is such a strong presence on MADB, he doesn't have to contribute money--his presence is enough--if he ever threatens to leave, heads roll!), he doesn't want to lose them...and how many posters here are that valuable?
