But I do owe him an apology in one respect, and that is in my previous thread in which I horribly distorted some exchanges on ZLMB, in which I attributed comments to Shades which were not made by him. I am sorry for this, and admit I was wrong.

As I was visiting MAD today, I had composed a fairly mild post that detailed why some people see Joseph Smith as a con-man. My cursor hovered over the "Submit" button for a good 30 seconds while I contemplated if this was a ban-worthy post. Mild as it was, I decided not to post it for fear of inciting the wrath of the mods there.

It made me realize how glad I am to have a board where I don't have to wonder if any given post might be my last post.

Hell, this post my mark my last post at MAD...

So, even though I'd like to beat you sensless about the smilies, thanks for this board Shades!

[b]A few days ago, I was banished from CARM (or CRAM) for commenting on the Bathroomgate thread on CARM. This was the exchange:

John Doe?:Why do Mormons molest their children??
BS artist: I'm Mormon, and I don't molest my children. But I don't know that
I would trust any of the Matt Slick or Aaron Shaf's crew around my
small children in a public restroom at the pageant, just based upon
their strange behavior at the event.
Just my opinion.
For this I was banished.
The date the ban was to be lifted was June 25, 7:00 p.m.. Today, I see the following message:
You have been banned for the following reason:
Per Administration, slander and libelous accusations

Date the ban will be lifted: Never
John Doe has been posting non-stop since that time up until now, without punishment.

I'll be the first to admit that my tolerance for raw bigotry is low. I get somewhat feisty. But, is it any wonder that the same type of "slander and libelous accusations" that they the Anti-Mormons make toward the LDS gets sanctioned.
The posts have since been removed from CARM so as to cover their tracks, I guess.

I also appreciate this board and the work that Keene and Shades do. As words really mean nothing, I finally got around to pulling out my checkbook and I invite everyone else who enjoys the board to do so also.
