Judging by his actions I would say Jackson wants to cut the nuts off Obama in order to enact a practice right out of rural Nineteenth Century Mormonism.
Watch out Obama, next Jackson is going after your daughter if the pattern continues.
There is a point to this post. Its this:In such settings, Obama has urged greater emphasis on fatherhood, advised parents to choose reading books over playing video games and most recently told young students to stick with school and forget about a career as a rap star or professional basketball player.
You want family values? that's family values, not some dips**ts sitting around eating rice crispy squares and following the FHE lesson manual.
You might want to watch the clip and try very hard to not let your biases against Mormonism impede your ability to think reasonably. Jesse Jackson's streetwise comments came because he recognizes that Barak Obama is a snob. I'm not sure why others haven't figured that out yet. He may not be as snobby as John Kerry was, but he's definitely a snob.
If Obama is a snob and talking down to black people (as suggested by Jackson), are you saying that blacks can't figure that out?
Not blacks, people in general. It didn't take long for John Kerry's being "out of touch" with the average person to become an issue in his campaign. I'm quite surprised that Obama's being "out of touch" has not become an issue. I remember hearing early on in his campaign, him comment on the price of "arugula". I thought, "Obama, it's "lettuce" if you don't want to sound snobby...or "cultured" (for Merc)."
Obama does "talk down" to black people--and in my opinion, he does it to curry favor with whites. I think that's what made Jesse Jackson so annoyed with him.
What I wonder is why is Obama lecturing black people about the problems in their families--why aren't Black preachers and ministers doing this? You'd think they would be the ones to address this topic...instead those like Rev. Wright are spouting politics and ignoring the problems Obama brought up.
