Do any LDS Church hymns use music that was written by a homosexual composer? How about music performed by the Snackernackle Choir or the organists who play/perform in the Tabernacle?
I do know Utah/Mormon Senator Bob Bennett said, concerning Homosexuals "I have nothing against Homosexuals, I am a great fan of the arts", some years ago. A backhanded slur directed at artists and creative people in and out of the LDS sphere.
With the major prejudice against 'gay' folk I would think the leaders would search out and ban music from gays?

Seems to me that's why the Choir lost it's director earlier this spring. A proposed witchhunt to ferret out gays in the Choir, I mean. Or at least that's how I understood it.

Alfred Tennyson wrote 'Ring out, Wild Bells" (215). He was married and had children, but modern speculators believe that he had homosexual feelings.
But I wonder if there are composers or writers that lived what we know as homosexual lifestyles. Maybe there are some who would be 'homosexual' today but who were repressed in the past, forced to live their lives with an opposite sex spouse and children, and robbed of the possibility of finding true love.

This was possibly meant as a distraction from "Congressional Toe-tapping".
