All people of conscience should refuse to patronize McDonald's until it decides that supporting tiny avant garde cultural subgroups and pandering to politically correct notions of minority preference is less important then serving fast food.
I stopped going to McDonalds because their food is awful. What a company does with its profits, as long as it isn't malevolent, doesn't bother me too much.

Homophobia is a term that developed to describe bigotry towards homosexuals much in the same sense that "racism" refers to bigotry on the basis of race or "sexism" refers to bigotry on the basis of gender. It, much to your chagrin no doubt, doesn't simply mean fear of gays. Even so, that more narrow meaning might be apt for the OP anyways. I personally think many if not all of those comments are parodies.
I don't get it. McDonalds is a place to eat, ethical values are irrelevent unless it is the ethical values of food and animals that are at question. Why get all political, it's a fast food store, who cares!!!

The other night was the first time I'd been to McDonalds since I was a kid and I was pleasantly surprised they had salads on their menu. It wasn't so horrid for a fast food restaurant salad. I wasn't expecting much and actually was surprised to find fresh fruit on the salad. McDonalds most likely won't be hurt by this boycott and they wouldn't have taken this stance if it hurt their profits.
Homophobia is very real BCspace, particularly in your case.
I have no fear of homosexuals (or the APA). In fact, I've helped several back into good standing with the Church and have stood at the bedside of several who have died of AIDS related complications.
Yeeeeeah....homophobia doesn't exist in the US....riiiiight...
I hate to admit it, but I have grown significantly in this area. I most definitely was a homophobe.
I might say that I'm still a bit of a flame-a-phobe. I have a hard time with people who think they need to go overly-flamboyant to prove to everyone that they are gay. Perhaps I still have some growing to do.

I think people are pissed because they dropped the McRib sandwich from their menu.
I proudly admit that I like McDonald's French fries. I'm sure it's due to the animal fat they're fried in. Every once in a while, I have to order a small order of fries through the drive-thru to satisfy my crave.
