Should this Mormon celeb be invited to a Church court?
Check this out (link below). Watch the whole thing, but at 1:06 into the clip, her Mormonism is discussed. She was doing a shoot for a fitness magazine, which apparently required posing in a string bikini. Worthy of discipline? (She claims the photos are not intended to be "provocative"--see if you are provoked.)
She was promoting herself (her new singing career) and the magazine (obviously an effort to profit) through the photo shoot.
Listen closely--she even mentions the whole "modest is hottest" line while walking around in the string bikini. I really don't know what to think of it all. I'm tired of thinking, really.
Does consistency require a Church court (since the guy doing the missionary calendar is being called in)?
If someone would post this in the thread at MADB re the missionary calendar, I would be interested in how the folks over there see it.

The male models in the calendar didn't get the letter, the producer of the calendar is the one who is in trouble.
My guess... if the girl's photos get the church good publicity it won't be a problem. BYU swimmers, runners, etc. etc. wear about the same amount of clothing and the GAs don't seem to care.
Just sayin...

Yes, Truth Dancer, but she was using the magazine and the spread to "sell" a new singing career (album just came out--sucks). So, she seems to me to have a bit more in common with the guy pushing the miss calendar than the people posing had in common with him. And by stating "modest is hottest" she demonstrated premeditation :)

Bottom line: if she stays in the entertainment industry and culture long enough, she will, in all likelihood, be absorbed and digested. She's already compromised the Church's dress standards.
Only the most intensely morally and spiritually resistant souls can long endure that world, and come out relatively unscathed.

You gotta be kidding me......
I presume you are both males....
Even the (LDS) Brass likes to look at female body (being all male).
The Brass should not complain about their chicks showing some software.
Most men do not like to look at male bodies.
I wonder why don't you guys use your hypothalamus every once in a while.
She looks good.
I care less for male bodies.
They are expandable.

She better watch out or pretty soon she will be playing with face cards and drinking ginger beer and saying words like snap.
