New *OFFICIAL* Church Website About Polygamy

Post by _TrashcanMan79 »

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned in any of the other polygamy threads, but I just saw on MAD that the Church now has a website devoted to polygamy. Check it out:

Lame. Pretty lame. That's what I think.

"Mormon" is the most common and widely accepted name for a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, headquartered in Salt Lake City. "Mormons" have nothing whatsoever to do with the Texas sect known as "FLDS," or with any other polygamous group.

Umm, wrong. It is just a common a name for the FLDS. "nothing whatsoever"??? By whose authority did the SLC church copyright this name??

The FLDS group adopted the name "Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints" in the early 1990s. It is an isolated group numbering a few thousand members. There should be no confusion between Mormons and polygamists.

Sooo....if you only have a few thousand members, you're OBVIOUSLY a false church, unlike the LDS church which has 13 million members!
Of course, when we try and compare the insignificant 13 million to the hundreds of millions in other religions, apologists claim that the size of a religion has nothing to do with it's truthfulness.

You don't "practice" it like the FLDS or the groups on TV but...

Do you BELIEVE in it?

Is it part of your doctrine?

Did Joseph Smith claim to see an angel who threatened him to "marry" girls and women other than his wife Emma?

Do you believe God has multiple women/wives in heaven?

Do LDS men have multiple women/wives in heaven?

Are there currently LDS men who are sealed to more than one LIVING woman?

The answer to all of the above is... YES!

I'm sorry but all the talk and denial in the world is not going to change the facts.

Just read the MAD board and it becomes clear that polygamy is alive and well in the minds and hearts and dreams of faithful LDS men.

Tried the link, but this is what comes up:

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

I tried it on Safari, with the same results.

I did originally get on to the site, and had a very quick read, but on the second try about 10-15 minutes later it was no go.

Maybe the boys and girls at HQ are working out the kinks.

I could be wrong but I don't think it was actually created by LDS inc.
