Personally, I don't see how anyone could be offended by Hammer or get their feelings hurt by him.
Lou Midgley 08/20/2020: "...meat wad," and "cockroach" are pithy descriptions of human beings used by gemli? They were not fashioned by Professor Peterson.
LM 11/23/2018: one can explain away the soul of human beings...as...a Meat Unit, to use Professor Peterson's clever derogatory description of gemli's ideology.

Huh? Have you never read a thing he's said? *I* don't get offended easily, and he's offended me.
Once I posted how I had prayed and prayed earnestly, for HF to witness to me that the Book of Mormon was true, and I had never received an answer. No burning in the bosom, no feeling that it was the true church. I was raised in the church, and I followed every rule to the letter, and when I'd prayed about it, I was only in my teens. It wasn't like I'd led some unrighteous life of sin up to that point.
His reply to me? He said something to the effect of, "Why would God want to talk to someone like YOU anyway? Some people deserve what they get, and in your case, nothing."
Now, that is completely offensive, at least to me.
Of course, he didn't get banned for it... :P

I have read the things Hammer has said. And no, doesn't offend me. Anymore than I get offended when a mosquito splatters on my windshield. Now LeeUniverse on the other hand, while he doesn't offend me, is like a whole swarm of mosquitoes that splatter on the windshield (due to his aggressive, lengthy, numerous, horribly written, and vapid posts not to mention his inflated views on his own mental life) but that still doesn't amount to offense. Only, in some cases, I've become weak and fired torpedoes when I shouldn't have. Just as I might yell at the mosquitoes that are on the other side of the windshield and don't understand english anyway.
Niether one of them even register on my moral outrage meter. Which isn't very sensitive I admit because I have low morals. Hammer is kind of dull, but at the same time he suffers from the fact that he tries too hard to say the absolute worst thing one could say in any given situation. Lee is much more effective in that his litter is straight from the heart and he really believes every word of it. Lee gets a pass on the basis of psychosis and Hammer gets discounted based on obvious overreaching and a lack of education.
Now, FARMS and the Skinny-L club register on the moral outrage meter. But not sure they've offended me personally though there are many who are right in being offended by them.

Okay, so are we in agreement that the guy has mental illness issues?

responded to an inquiry from Mr. Scratch about Hammer’s former identity. This was my sole case of being one of Scratch’s informants, and I’m not proud of it.
You should be. The more people that PM scratch of the latest news, the more likely he is to post. And I'll tell you this, there is nothing I look forward more (other than one or two vices that are inappropriate to discuss) to than seeing a new topic posted by Mr. Scratch.

I won't. I don't know who Hammer is in real life. I only know what his posts are like online. So, until and unless I learn information on his real life that persuades me otherwise, I will regard him as a butthead religious zealot whose cup runneth over with Schadenfreude at the prospect of all the apostates burning in hell come judgment day. The guy is a real tool.
Mormonism ceased being a compelling topic for me when I finally came to terms with its transformation from a personality cult into a combination of a real estate company, a SuperPac, and Westboro Baptist Church. - Kishkumen

Sorry, but I disagree, Seth. Would you be as angry at someone who claimed that Thor will punish the earth for its sins?

That is an excellent question, Ray. And, while I think the answer is obvious, I am not sure that means that we should not take those folks who believe in Jesus seriously. Getting angry is always counterproductive, but the reason we do get angry at Jesus believers and not Thor believers is that the opinions of the former, no matter how stupid, may be lent great power and credibility based on the popularity of Jesus fantasies alone.

I too look forward to Scratch's posts. Usually they are the highlight of this board. If I had a "scoop" I would PM him.
I think it would be morally right to lie about your religion to edit the article favorably.
