I strongly believe the LDS church is following scientology's path. What choice do either of them have? There's no way they can effectively defend their claims, so far better to silence critics in anyway possible.

It's a far cry from early church leaders who practically challenged the world to prove them wrong. Of course, if information concerning church claims were as limited today as it was then, they'd probably be saying the same thing today.

Hunh. A MAD poster recently said something very similar, except it was along the lines that IF he met some of these critics, dental records would be needed for identification.

Indeed. It was actually someone who posted here briefly as "coach".

Threads like those are the reason I don't post over there anymore. I'm too short tempered a person to be able to turn the other cheek over there very long. If I ever met one of the really nasty ones (Antishock et al) in person I might beat him to the point that his dentist would have to identify him so I think its best I don't even read it.

It was ludicrously time consuming - I first got to work around 8 am, located the forms online, filled them out, posted about it, posted the complaint to my blog and mailed them - all before lunch.

Of course, not as time consuming as racking up 5,000 posts in one year.

Frankly, this whole thread is utterly ridiculous, and illustrative of the crap that goes on around this board.

I'm glad you decided it was worthy of your time. We all know how reserved you are when it comes to posting on internet discussion boards.

By the way, I never did send that complaint. As much as I enjoyed the thought of Crockett planning and putting on his defense - answering for his offensive behavior - I don't have the heart.
