I know, I know, we're supposed to be disciplined enough to simply not read their shyte, but that's hard to do when it suddenly pops up on a thread out of the blue...I think it's a good thing that Shade's board deliberately allows for all these voices, but there is a price to pay in "noise versus signal" ratio for that open exchange, and individuals may decide the price isn't worth

A threaded view would take care of much of the "popping up" especially when a specific poster is a repeat offender. I've harped about a threaded view here since the first version of this board.

OK, I admit it. One rather mean-spirited and moronic poster got to me. It could be that I haven't slept in two days, or it could just be that I'm tired of self-righteous and smug people who don't give a damn about their fellow human beings. It doesn't matter. I've been thinking about this all day; I've been involved in good and productive and civil conversations with Mormons and ex-Mormons, critics and apologists for thirteen years, since I first started posting as an apologist on a.r.m. in 1995. No sniveling weasel who doesn't know me from Adam is going to ruin that for me.

In order for a threaded view to happen, the entire programming and platform of the board would have to be changed. We would lose all of the material that is currently here to accommodate it. Keene looked into it.
