Of course it is. If I could objectively prove it I might have done so by now. Part an ocean maybe or something. The invitation of my faith has always been to come and try it not striking people with leprosy and/or lightning to show our power (as fun as that might be).
Which brings us back to your assertion that I had not accepted the invitation and recieved no witness.

So how'd that go?

Themselves and to fulfill their duties to the best of their ability. Just like everyone else.
So then what is their purpose? Should they not be responsible for leading the members?? (Hence the term "LEADERS")
Part of their duty is to give direction to others and set an example. They're not perfect at it but I think they do very well.

I admit the analogy was bad. Weird dreams last night all night. Not at the top of my game.
I do hope though that you're not suggesting that I should base my understanding of truth on what the majority of the world believes. I've also shared in the past that I have also had experiences that can't be classified (even by critics) as feelings. They can characterize me as insane and do regularly and often but that's a different story. I'm either mad or right. I'm gonna go with the latter.
See, I just don't think you are righteous enough to be seeing as many visions as you do. So, I'm going with the former. :)

What happened to restoring truths? God's one true church and all? Why isn't God interested in revealing what is and isn't doctrine? Or, why aren't the apostles praying for inspiration to clarify some of these issues? We certainly got clarification on how many earrings are acceptable.

I don't think I'm righteous enough either. The beauty of the atonement is that I don't have to be. I suspect many other people could have them as well and don't. The difference? I ask for them. :)

You made a steak analogy that implied that I had never tried to have the holy ghost communicate with me. When in fact I have. Apparently, I was just being ignored. I played by the rules. I met all of the conditions that are required for it to speak to me as set out by the Book of Mormon and my church leaders. I have even instructed others (while on my mission) on how to do it and they felt something. But me, nothing. Just silence.

There is no such thing as official doctrine.
Huh????
Don't tell BC that.
But really. How can you say that? What do you base it on?
I don't see any official doctrine anywhere. We don't even have a doctrine of infallibility about a book translated through the power of God. I'm not sure where we're going to find it outside of that if it doesn't qualify.
I am also anti-creed so I don't want to see any come out.
There are doctrines you can't pull out without destroying the Gospel. Things like the Atonement of Christ but I still don't see it as 'official doctrine'.
