Beastie, I'm sorry that my failure to take you seriously as a conversation partner so upsets you.

But there it is.

Why don't you just let it go?

Is it actually possible you don't realize that you are dancing, too?

by the way, your failures as a conversation partner don't upset me in the least. It's odd that you continue to project emotions on me like "hostility", "being upset", etc - kind of like what some on our side do to you..

My not being upset has nothing to do with whether or not I will continue to point out that you can't logically bring up a topic and then turn around and refuse to discuss it, and then claim you're not interested in the first place. If I have time, and am involved, I will continue to point it out, because it entertains me.

Don't worry. I only have a week and a half left on break, and then I will be too busy to banter so much. Unlike some other folks around here, my work keeps me too busy to post while on duty.

Oh, I realize all too well that I've wasted hours with you. And that, while I haven't been dragged into an exasperating non-conversation about any of the big topics you proposed, I'm still going the rounds with you because you simply can't accept the fact that I've said No. To you.

But I don't find this nearly as exasperating as that would most certainly have been.

Maybe you should get a more productive hobby.

Collecting souvenir spoons might be appropriate.

Now that's funny. I don't know if you did it on purpose, but it's funny for someone to admit wasting lots of time on something he views as pointless, and then lecture someone about getting a new hobby.

I've actually had a hugely productive summer. I'd list all the things I've accomplished, including restarting an old hobby of writing children's literature, but I don't think you're genuinely interested, nor am I genuinely interested in sharing that sort of information with you. Let's just say that between the two of us, I suspect, on an overall yearly average, you spend far more times on boards of various sorts than I do.

Technically, "syncopation occurs when a temporary displacement of the regular metrical accent occurs, causing the emphasis to shift from a strong accent to a weak accent." "Syncopation is," however, "very simply, a deliberate disruption of the two- or three-beat stress pattern, most often by stressing an off-beat, or a note that is not on the beat."

Cognitively, Temperley argues that most accurately syncopation be described as involving "displacement; in a syncopation, an accent that belongs on a particular strong beat is shifted or displaced to a weak one."

After failing to remove the newsgroup, Scientologists adopted a strategy of newsgroup spam and intimidation.[17] Scientologists and hired third parties regularly flood the newsgroup with pro-scientology messages, vague anti-scientology messages, irrelevant comments, and accusations that other posters are secret Scientologists intent on tracking and punishing posters. This makes the newsgroup virtually unreadable via online readers such as Google Groups, although more specialized newsreading software that can filter out all messages by specific "high noise" posters make the newsgroup more usable

Don't my children deserve to eat? How dare you question my motives!

Well, as long as the file contains reference to my blinding beauty, I guess I can live with it. :O
