One thing for sure, that thread is an exception to the rule.

Being an old fart I have really enjoyed it and it has made be aware of lots of different and new to me music.

Shades does have a point. I mean you're talkin bout exhaulting a message board thread...what's next? I think this could be a slippery slope towards watering down the importance of exhaultation on this board. Let us not do this, for the sake of purification of the diety ranks. I mean, we're basically letting a machine into an exclusive country club...do we really want this? Shouldn't we keep our ranks pure and delightsome? Just to avoid encouraging those machines from delusions of grandeur. That's the untold story in the Terminator movies you know...between Arnold's nude butt part 1 and 2 a machine was given encouragement to reach beyond it's place as a slave to humanity, doing our bidding and taking up space in our lives until we replace them with newer more efficient versions [who will probably exterminate us eventually anyway :/]. But we can't encourage technological units at all, because one "good job" and next thing you know...T-1000s morphing and whatnot. That's where you're taking us with these exhaulting thread threads. Think about it. Think. Think. Think about it.

Are we entering a possible ethical debate here about whether machines should be treated with more respect than they are given, you know some day, computers and machines will be like us, they are already taking control of Human life in that we humans can't survive day to day lives without them and for he record, a post is not a machine. One is recognising the work put in by man to keep the thread alive.

Its not like every thread is going to make 1000 posts why not aknowledge the ones that do?

With respect to the smilies, I think they will be abused but only because shades has stuck them out and made a big deal about not having them. But after a few months people will get over the whole ohhh lets use as many as we can to get on shades nerves issue and they will dissolve into the background.

Shades caved to popular demand once and enabled smilies. Someone * cough nehor cough * abused them and Shades took them back away.

I did in fact start the jukebox as a spot where people could happily gather in the joy and good will of music. It is in fact the "Lounge" area of Shady Acres !

And while it cannot in fact be considered "exalted", as posters can be, it can in fact be "translated" like the City of Enoch.

So heres to the first "translated" thread ! Much thanks to all those who have contributed and made it what it is. And please, to anyone who has not yet posted anything there, post any and all songs that you love for the enjoyment of others. My ipod library has grown in unexpected ways thanks to the never before heard contributions of many.
