I just now tried the chat again. Chat is bad. It let me log in however, it only allowed me to post 4 messages and after I logged out, it froze up my computer like the old chat had been doing recently.

Anyone else have that happen?

Also, it looks as though it displays the conversation that was taking place prior to when you entered.

Is that a good thing?

Tried it again just now and it won't let me in. Same thing as before. It shows the chat, then switches to the "Ajax Chat" registration form and just goes back to that if I try to fill out the form.

Maybe keene is tweaking it?

Do you have the "www" before "mormondiscussions.com" when you come here? The chat system checks for a "mormondiscussions.com" session before logging you in, and if the "www." is there, it could cause problems.

Any freezing or anything like that has to be your computer though -- there's nothing on there besides HTML and javascript.

As for the colors -- if you /really/ wanna change styles, and know any CSS, there are extensions in firefox that let you create your own custom CSS files for particular sites. You can override the style that makes the bar go blue and change it to a color you like.

Or you can block "http://mormondiscussions.com/phpBB3/styles/Revival/theme/images/cellpic1.gif" using something like adblock plus, then the bar will just be plain white.

Eventually I'll be adding a couple more themes. I chose this one to start off with as it seemed the most readable and accessible out of all of them.

Jersey Girl, you crack me up. that's was an awesome rant, the best I have ever seen. Hehehehe. Chat works ok for me. But I liked the old one better, it looked and functioned better.

Would you log into chat and then watch the chat log while *I* log in? I'd like to see what it does. The other day when I tried to log in, harmony said it sent up a message that I had an "invalid IP address". I'd like to see if it still does that.

If you do it, would you tell me here if you see the "invalid IP address" again?
