If you mean better than the apologists at doing what scratch accuses apologists of doing, I heartily agree; scratch is much better at dodging real issues, citing irrelevant information, not being peer reviewed, and engaging in massive amount of ad hominem, etc. In that regard, then, scratch is high above the apologists. Yes, so hiiii-ee-yi-eye! High above them.
One thing I do respect is his journalistic integrity. He's never revealed any sources to me nor has he ever let slip gossip that was provided in confidence.
As a journalist (former news editor, published reporter, and former member of the society of professional journalists [spj] I would not classify scratch as being in the possession of much journalistic integrity or hey, even style, quality, or method. Unless, and I honestly mean this, you include tabloid journalism.
