The good news is that your mom's doctors are aware of the situation. And, her general good health is a real positive.

Also, everyone has tiffs with their mums. Don't feel bad about that, Chris. The lesson in this, for all of us, is to always mend them as soon as possible.

Praying for your mom,

I'll pray for her.

My mom just took a radiation dose today for a thyroid scan tomorrow (she had thyroid cancer 25 years ago and it seems to have just started to come back), so I can understand the worry.

Chris! Somehow I missed this. I'm sorry to hear about your mom's condition, and I wish her the best. I'll be sending my thoughts and prayers your way.

(1) in preparation for minor surgery this morning, she had an EKG done. It was abnormal. Rule out dx is a minor heart attack. She's to have a GXT next week. I'm worried. Thoughts and prayers for her are greatly appreciated. Her name's Susie.

(2) Why don't folks post these sorts of things on MADB? Do they? I don't recall having seen anything like it there, while it is somewhat common here.

This is not a bash-MADB thread. I'm truly interested in the phenomenon. I'm curious as to your thoughts. And, while I can't constrain your posts, I would ask that you don't litter up the thread with anti-MADB or anti-MADB-ite sentiments.

Her name is Susie, and like most red-blooded Americans, I love my mum.

Sorry about your mom, CK. My mom's name is Sue, incidentally. Things like this can be posted at MADB in the Social Hall section.

Hi, Chris! :)

Sending prayers and good thoughts your way. My Mom is recovering from major back surgery, and I flew from NC to CA to help take care of her. I understand a little bit about what you're going through.

I hope things go well.

*HUGS*

P.S...As far as how MAD handles these types of threads, I believe that they can be posted in the Fellowship Forum. No personal threads are allowed in the main Debate/Discussion Forum.

Thanks for all your thoughts, prayers, and well wishes. She's doing fine. She still has not had the EKG performed, so I guess the doctors aren't in any particular rush.

She's a breast cancer survivor, so I suppose she can weather this as well.

But, it's a sobering thought when one realizes one's parents are actually mortal.

Liz--

I'm so glad to hear your mom is recovering well.

w/r/t the Fellowship Forum:

D'oh! I completely forgot about it. I believe I've posted exactly one thread there in all my time on FAIR/MADB.
