The authors were intent on publishing what they found. I believe they did just that. I do not believe that the highest mortal authorities of the Church have gone through all of the archives and thus know all that is contained therein. I trust the three authors as far as that goes. I believe, had they found something like a "smoking gun," they would have published it. I believe they are honest men.

It wouldn't hurt.

That would obviously help.

An excellent idea.

Minimally.

Consider implementation of these ideas a good down payment.

I'm forced to conclude that referring to the "rest" that is obfuscation was, well, obfuscation.

At least the believers finally admitted that there is a good case for conflict of interest. Yes, it's like pulling teeth, but we finally got there.

I believe they are honest men.

Do you believe Packer and Oaks are honest men, and were honest in their statements that any historian who shared true history that could damage the faith were at risk of losing their eternal reward, and would be violating ethics?

Apparently on pg. 237 of the book its reported that two apostles reviewed the content of the findings prior to publishing. The authors may have intended to publish what they found but Church leaders who are the owners of the content and paid to have it published have made it clear from past quotes that truth is secondary to the Church Mission.

They would never let out negative information on BY and you are truly kidding yourself if you think otherwise. .
God has the right to create and to destroy, to make like and to kill. He can delegate this authority if he wishes to. I know that can be scary. Deal with it.

The Massacre book was not directed for Church use or CES use, or otherwise. The Massacre book is strictly contemporary historical inquiry and was researched, written, and published that way for a purpose. Again, and regardless of what Pres. Packer or Elder Oaks said, I believe this book represents the most honest efforts by the authors. (Interestingly, Elder Oaks did some his good history of his own along with Hill in Carthage Conspiracy.)

In multiple interviews the authors insisted very specifically and forthrightly that no church leader prevented them from publishing any relevant information whatsoever. I'll take their word over yours in this case. One, they did the research. Two, they were in the meetings with the Church leaders. Three, they've actually read the book. Four, so have I.

Regards!

Sixteen!

Do I hear seventeen?

Incidentally, LOAP, we've had just about enough of your nonsense. It's much better to go on and on and on and on and on in an information vacuum.

Now that is spin worthy of a politician.

Now that's an unsubstantiated dodge worthy of Fox News.
