Godhood for gramps how about it? (Inquiry only)

Post by _Jersey Girl »

Shades,

This post is NOT intended to be the gramps godhood thread. Gramps began a thread in Off Topic back in July. You posted on the thread yourself.

He strived to achieve godhood and with the help of his friends, according to my records ;-) he did so on August 13th.

So why is it taking three days for you to get it up?

I think DCP had something to do with this mystery. At least, that is what I heard... :)

Thanks, as8 and Jersey Girl. It's no big deal. Dan will clear it up in his own time.

Repeat: This is not intended to be gramps godhood announcement/celebration. Just an inquiry. Let's save it for the real thing once Shades gets it up.

He stated that he was leaving the board forever as soon as he hit 1,000 posts, so I didn't think it was necessary since he'd never see it anyway.

HOWEVER, gramps, since you posted in this thread, does this mean you've made a course correction and will continue to grace us with your presence after all? If so, you'll get your thread.

So why is it taking three days for you to get it up?

Trust me, it takes me far, far less time than three days to get it up.

Total set up, harm. He's male. Takes him 3 days to address gramps for godhood but throw a double entendre in his path and he immediately stands at attention or claims that he can.

As for the pictures. If we're gonna litter the board with thumbnails, we might as well allow smilies too.

I see. So what you're saying is that unless the poster is here to see the announcement, the 1000 posts are all for nothing inspite of the effort one makes. If it wasn't an important milestone, he wouldn't have made the effort.

HOWEVER, gramps, since you posted in this thread, does this mean you've made a course correction and will continue to grace us with your presence after all? If so, you'll get your thread.

Welcome to "Bargaining for Godhood". Is that what everyone else had to do?

Trust me, it takes me far, far less time than three days to get it up.

Please keep your fictionalized accounts to yourself.

Sucker.
;-)

So the message I'm getting from the above is that you can't get it up or are unwilling to even make the effort unless someone is there to see it?

I actually never said I was leaving for good. Did I?

I did say that I wouldn't be around a lot.

It is not a big deal, either way, trust me!

And, that 'gracing us with your presence' thing. That almost sounds a little passive-aggressive, Shades.

But, I am sure I am reading that into what you said. Right? It is still a little early here and I haven't had my coffee yet. :)
