Thanks for the prayers...

Post by _Yoda »

Just thought I would let you know that the prayers and kind thoughts were much appreciated.

My Mom ended up having two very complex back surgeries, consisting of five decompressions and fusions.

I was supposed to be in CA for a week, and ended up being there for a month, giving her round the clock care.

I am finally back in NC, attempting to piece what is left of my music studio business back together.

Mom is doing much better, and has the care she needs.

Just as an FYI, I will probably not be as active on the board as I have been previously. Even though I'm still on sabbatical from the college, I have a lot of work to catch up on as far as my private music studio is concerned.

I will still be checking the board for moderating purposes, so feel free to PM me if you have questions regarding the board.

I would also like to extend a warm welcome to our newer members, Scott Lloyd, Gamemaster, and Collegeterrace.

And, thanks to Dr. Peterson, for sticking around. You have definitely livened up the board. ;)

Yeah... Caring for family members is tough business. When my brother was injured in a motorcycle crash my parents' lives changed forever as well as his. He went from being an active and busy man to crippled in the blink of an eye. Cleaning, bathing, and nursing someone, especially an adult is hard on both people. It's really, really hard.

So. You have my sympathies. It's good that you've made it back. I hope your business recovers...

Thanks a lot, you guys. I really appreciate the support. It was very difficult to leave, feeling torn between needing to take care of my kids in NC and my Mom in CA, not to mention my business.

I have to say my daughters were great in helping my husband take care of my 4 year old son. It's been a long 3 weeks for everyone!
