Do over.

Porter:
You do understand what kill means, no?

You do understand that you and others, are forwarding the idea that someone made a bonafide death threat on this board four freakin' days ago and instead of reporting the so called death threat straight away to admin, you've spent what...four days asking the person who threatened to "kill" another poster...

to apologize?

I've reported it to Shades.

I find it curious that this "death threat" was reported to Shades by Jersey Girl, and not by Scratch.

And, Scratch, if you did report it to Shades, would you mind sharing with us Shades' response? I find it highly unlikely that DCP would be allowed to continue posting here if Shades considered the threat to be real.

Also, Scratch, if you are seriously concerned about your safety, I will give you the same suggestion I gave Bob Crockett, and suggest that you contact the police immediately.

No kidding. I saw fit to send my first PM to Shades in months about this.

I don't know where you guys come from but where I come from, if someone threatens to "off" someone else, you don't spend four days asking them to apologize!

That's typically the first thing I do when someone threatens me or a loved one with death. Especially if they are really serious about it. I immediately pester them for an apology. It's common sense. No need to call the police or talk to a lawyer; the best approach is by demanding they immediately say they are sorry.

I wonder if Porter and others are familiar with the term "libel"?

I'm sorry to give you one more post to split off, Liz.

I've just heard from Shades who said he's going to check it out.

Apparently no one has seen fit to report this in four days time.

Go figure.

Is it bad humor in poor taste? Perhaps. But if you put it in perspective of the overall thread, I think we're carrying this a bit far. And, I'm sorry, but Scratch is no angel. He has joked about stalking DCP in the past,

With all due respect, Liz, I have never---nor would I ever---joke about "stalking" DCP. To the contrary, DCP has made numerous "jokes" in which he compares my critiques of his writings to malevolent and illegal forms of stalking. Apparently, this ploy of his has had its intended effect, since you seem to believe that I really have said such a thing.

and has also suggested that someone contact Bob Crockett's Stake President about his comments on this site.

This, too, is incorrect, I believe. I may have speculated aloud on what Bro. Crockett's SP might think of some of his board behavior, but I don't recall having ever specifically suggested that someone literally contact Crockett's SP.

As a victim of your Internet stalking, I completely believe you have also stalked Dan Peterson online as well.

You literally suggested someone should contact my Stake President over a comment I didn't even make on a blog you had wrongfully attributed to me.
