Possibly because I'm not in a mood wherein a joke about infidelity coming from a stranger is funny at the moment?
One moment in annihilation's waste,
one moment, of the well of life to taste-
The stars are setting and the caravan
starts for the dawn of nothing; Oh, make haste!

Sure. I don't think that someone hinting that I would try to privately meet with women from the Internet is necessarily funny or appropriate, especially given the apparent disdain for innuendo and gossip on this particular website.

Now we are curious!

This "moment", what is the significance of it to your replies?
... our church isn't true, but we have to keep up appearances so we don't get shunned by our friends and family, fired from our jobs, kicked out of our homes, ... Please don't tell on me. ~maklelan

OH MY GOD.

You take this as serious but see Danno's death threat as fun?

DOUBLE YOUR MEDS, and call, err PM me in the morning.

One difference being that I actually know Dan.

Parenthetically, (and I know Dan occasionally jokes in a similar way) I think saying people ought to increase their meds and whatnot is in poor taste given that it helps perpetuate a social stigma against those who really do take medication for behavioral reasons. This isn't something I particularly find funny, either. As long as I'm taling about jokes I don't find funny. I also dislike the word "retarded" as an insult. for what it's worth :)

No need; it's already on.

Personally, I can't post on this board without a Mickey Mouse hat on.

Is it just me?

Pretty much all of it. If the story exonerates you, Gee, and LDS apologetics, I cannot understand why you would fail to "clear the air."

See above.

Mister Scratch wrote:Why is this a secret that needs to be kept?

It's not a secret. But it's not my story, and I don't think it's my place to plaster it all over a public message board merely to gratify your weird obsessions. I don't really see, to be frank, why it's your business.

Come now, Prof. P. This doesn't make a whole lot of sense. You had no problem blabbing up and down about how you had the "inside dope" on Mike Quinn's Church Court, and the reasons leading up to it. You also have had no problem carrying on about your neighbor, and about the private lives of countless critics. The truth is that you are selective about what you are willing to tell, and that your chief selection critiera is, "Will this hurt apologetics, or will it benefit critics?"

Mister Scratch wrote:Particularly given the rather obvious fact that the silence can be used as a means of smearing Dr. Ritner?

In the hands of an avid defamation-enthusiast such as yourself, I don't doubt that virtually anything can be used as a means of smearing,

Still waiting for you to "clear the air" on this issue, Prof. P. You claim that Gee filed a formal complaint against Ritner. This is the story you are perpetuating. I vote that you clear the air now, before Ritner gives us the full truth, Metcalfe-style. You've been sorely embarrassed once this week already. Do you really want to endure another round of it?
