Post by _cksalmon »

Disappointed by Romney's failure in the 2008 race, Internet Mormons take matters into their own hands

You saw it here first.

Carter had peanuts

Reagan had Jelly Beans

Clinton had Cigars

Bush had dum dums

Now comes the era of the Crispy Creme

I have it on good authority that he detests Krispy Kremes. He may like homemade sinnamon rolls, but I can't say for sure.

[edited to fix the sin]
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

I'm afraid his character makes him entirely unelectable.
“I was hooked from the start,” Snoop Dogg said. “We talked about the purpose of life, played Mousetrap, and ate brownies. The kids thought it was off the hook, for real.”

Yeah, he deals with issues head on, is articulate, intelligent, snappy, witty, and ironically, is just the kind of person(s) we need in office, but we will never get. I like him better researching and writing on Mormonism anyway.

Well, I was going for honest, but much of what you say is true too. Let's face it, presidential politics are not about intellectual subtlety, and his humor would be lost on most Americans.

Interesting that honesty didn't make JustMe's list.

I suspect most Americans would react to Daniel's humor like most critics do.

And actually, I think he'd do as well in the presidency as anyone else. He has more freedom as who he now is than he'd have as President.

I would support the guy. I know him to be an honest man, and I agree with his political views more completely than I agree with anybody else. He's right on every issue, in my opinion.

But I've heard that he doesn't want the job, even though he has at least one friend who has seriously urged him to run for something.

Holy smokes. Wow. I am just blown away by the arrogance of this. "At least one friend"? Tell me, Dan: do you have any "friends" who possess traits other than obsequiousness? And "right on every issue"? Uh, yeah. Big surprise there. I'm sure you're 100% right on your speculations about Bro. Meldrum's supposed "traveling road show," for example.
