But plenty of things do (and should) remain between the individual and God. We get into dangerous waters if we allow fallible men step into the place of God, in my opinion.

True enough. I'm more worried about those who do believe or who want to be part of the Church (usually out of family concerns, even if they don't "believe," whatever that means).
