I thought I would let the MormonDiscussions community know that my mother passed away today at 2:54 AM. This is the last picture of me with my mom. It was taken on Saturday, September 6.
I've written about her passing on my blog here. She made a YouTube video last year in which she expressed her wish that everyone celebrate and try not to be sad at her death. She also really, really wanted to be cremated and have her ashes put in the statue of a pig. I'm not making that up.
Thank you to the people who have offered prayers and support and friendship in this difficult time, and please forgive the personal topic. I know not everyone who knows me reads my blog and I thought some people might want to know.

I am always struck by pictures of mothers and daughters, how a mother's eyes and smile are reflected in her child and in your case, the shape of your face, your nose, your ears, your slender arms and fingers and how those images and features appear to be intertwined in your embrace as if you share one heart as you once shared one body.
I hope that you forever hear her voice when you speak for she lives on in you.
