He is, I believe, with the Sorenson Molecular Genealogy Foundation.

Right, he didn't get thrown out on the street or anything. It sounds like he's having an awesome career even if he didn't get to stay in academia.

You heard? I know. He has a harem of 50 wives in Bargo, New South Wales, and that's why he really visited Oz a while back. You think he came here to give lectures in Arabic, or spiels on chiasmus in the writings of Gordon B. Hinckley? Or evidences of Bigfoot in Book of Mormon lands? You obviously don't know Daniel C. Peterson, agent of the SCMC, open polygamist in Australia, a country where people only wear slippers because they don't know how to tie shoelaces. They'd never figured it out. Daniel is too smart to be that open in the U. S of A.

We know. And I bear testimony that we know.

You shouldn't try to take me on, Prof. P. I have defeated you yet again, and the pain of it is showing in your disciples. Poor JustMe is practically frothing at the mouth over the beating I have given you.

I do not believe even for an instant that there is any 'strategic' use of alcohol connected in any way with BYU.

But then, I didn't believe there were any bribes connected with the SLC Olympics either, so maybe I'm not the best judge of things in Utah.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Oh my gosh, Ray. What'd I do?

This was the part of the post you wrote that I was laughing at:

YES!!!!! Exactly!!!

Isn't it wonderful? Isn't it marvelous?

;)

Well, yes, basically. Certain BYU LDS are willing to "compromise" when it comes to certain individuals. Credibility is something that can be bought, and plenty of academics are willing to sell it.
