Re: FHE (Just questions)

We raised our two children after leaving the church, so never did the FHE routine. But if the objective is to get the family together for one night, it wasn't necessary. We were always together for dinner and afterward -- every night of the week. We considered every night family night. If the objective is to teach religion, however, we failed miserably (intentionally and proudly).

The funny thing about FHE was the play acting in college wards. We were assigned to fake 'families,' with one guy and gal called to be 'father' and 'mother,' then conducted family night each Monday. Dating of brother-sister, father-daughter, etc. was certainly not discouraged.
