Perhaps a new TV show could be made around this.
It could be called "Mormon Gladiators".
Contestants would have to carry the object through the course while 3 Gladiators try to stop them.
No backpacks allowed though (that would be cheating).

Make it realistic. What are the historic details of this course? The ostensible familiarity with this story is great enough that someone should be able to come up with them pretty quickly.

I was just doing as Joseph Smith would have done.
Make it up as I go along.
Don't worry, though, I can go back and change any of it latter if I need to.

Then once again, the OP is invalidated.

No, I don't remember that. But, they just seemed to be in awe of the great strength of Joseph Smith.

But come on CT, where are the "historic details" of the account of a guy running through the woods with a golden Bible? You know, one stack of plates out of the thousands that filled up the inside of the Hill Cumorah? Shouldn't you be more forthright concerning the serious, *historic details* of this factual account?

Lou Midgley 08/20/2020: "...meat wad," and "cockroach" are pithy descriptions of human beings used by gemli? They were not fashioned by Professor Peterson.

LM 11/23/2018: one can explain away the soul of human beings...as...a Meat Unit, to use Professor Peterson's clever derogatory description of gemli's ideology.

Running through the woods trying to fend off determined attackers without a weapon would be quite a feat in and of itself. Add 50 pounds to the equation and it becomes a silly made up story.

Having hefted similar weight on a regular basis, it doesn't seem implausible that a man (or woman) with a nonsedentary lifestyle could muster the same ability.

What are the details that make this so? Where are your references?

LOL.

Honestly, this seminary teacher earned the nick name of "cry baby" because it seemed he cried every faacking day in every class.

At the beginning of the year when class assignments were published, we would ask each other, "Did you get cry baby?"

Until the ass hat FARMers from MI perform the exercise, I see no way to gather data. Until then I will take the easy road which is poking fun at idiots who believe this story of a man with a limpy bum leg fighting off bad guys and jumping logs --while holding a dense metal object.

No data gathering is required. Simply reference the story you are referring to so we all can read it. The data will be gathered for you, the student, by others.
